The Urban Adequacy of Slums in the Expansion Areas in the North of Fallujah City (Reality and Future Directions)

Abstract

The research aims to clarify the factors influencing the emergence of the phenomenon of slums outside the basic design، specifically in the north of the city، which is locally called the second Al-Jughifi area and the village of Al-Mukhtar، and the reasons that prompted this، and then revealing the most important active factors in this regard، represented by human economic and social factors، government legislation and laws، and weak management The government، which had a clear and significant impact on the expansion of this phenomenon، the study showed the impact of the phenomenon of slums on the city and proposed three solutions and treatments for this problem، and after weighing between these solutions by relying on the opinions of experts and the local and planning administration، it became clear that the development policy is the most appropriate solution for the slums located in Agricultural landmark areas. To achieve the objectives of the study، it focused on the following:

1- Adopting the analytical scientific method to detect the factors affecting the increase in the phenomenon of slums.

2- Adopting the theoretical and field study in order to obtain all the required data that the study needs.

3- Personal interviews with local official of slums and personal interviews with citizens of those neighborhoods.
