Structure distribution and Classification of Construction industry Facilities in Al-Muthanna Governorate for the year 2023

Abstract

This research refers to the study of construction industry establishments in Al-Muthanna Governorate in order to identify the reality of this industry and its geographical concentration.

This research included two objectives: defining the construction industries. The second section also included the structure of the construction industries in Al-Muthanna Governorate and its geographical distribution, as the total number of industrial establishments was recorded.

There are 213 facilities in Al-Muthanna Governorate for the year 2023, and their spatial distribution varied according to the administrative units in the governorate, as the Samawah District Center ranked first in terms of the number of establishments and workers when compared with the rest of the districts, and thus it occupied a percentage of 67.96% of the total employees according to the units.

The administrative sector in the governorate and the construction industries in the governorate were distributed into five industrial branches: (cement, bricks, blocks, cement, and plaster)
