From time to time, studies of personalities and geographical statures with an influential imprint in the Iraqi geographical school appear that such studies are of great scientific benefit for graduate students to identify scientific trends or theories that have been proven with scientific evidence, and one of the most prominent scientific statures in Iraq, which is a sign Illuminating the history of contemporary geography at all local, regional and global levels. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Azher Saeed Al-Sammak is the pioneer of economic geography with distinction.
Hence the aim of the study was to introduce geographers in academic circles, graduate students in particular, and academic researchers in general, to a unique scientific personality, a geographic stature characterized by its single scientific approach. A nucleus of thought for an advanced geographic school, which is (Azher Al Sammak School) It was represented in the adoption of the method of quantitative analytical measurement of many economic elements of the power of the state, and this was embodied in his methodological books in this field and his applied research published inside and outside Iraq. He still possesses an insightful ability to anticipate the future, armed with a deep understanding of the facts of history and a distinct awareness of the facts of the present. The importance of the study lies in introducing the academic community to the scientific personality of our venerable world and its effective contribution to laying the foundations of contemporary geography in Iraq.
