Abstract

This research deals with deletion and its interpretive implications in Surat Al-Kahf, an analytical study. Deletion comes as a phenomenon that scholars of interpretation, Qur’anic sciences, and linguists stopped at, and they explained the secrets of its beauty and eloquence because it protects the sentence from the heaviness that occurs from the remembrance, especially when there is evidence indicating the deletion, and because it also stimulates thought and feeling, and activates the mind to realize the meaning, which establishes the meaning in the soul. The importance of the research comes from its attachment to the Book of God Almighty, the miracle of its systems and style, highlighting the signs and linguistic miracles and interpretive connotations of Surat Al-Kahf, and its contribution to deepening the understanding of the Qur’anic text, by linking the mentioned and the deleted. The research aims to define the omission in language and terminology according to commentators, and identify the places Deletion in Surat Al-Kahf, explaining the meaning of each place from a semantic perspective, revealing the interpretive implications of the places of deletion in Surat Al-Kahf, and highlighting the role of commentators in understanding the Qur’anic text through their treatment of the phenomenon of deletion in Surat Al-Kahf.
