Abstract

 

Abstract

  Humphrey Trevelyan is one of the British personalities who played an important role in the course of contemporary history.

This study came in order to clarify his biography and to find out about his diplomatic activity in China.

 Humphrey Trevelyan was able to persuade the Chinese at the Geneva Conference in 1954 to recognize him as the British charge d'affaires in China, in addition to that he was able to solve many of the problems that were facing the British community in China.
