Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to capture the method of Ibn Salam Al-Jumahi in his book “Classes of Poetry Stallions” and to know the foundations he adopted for selecting poets from one class. We have limited the scope of research to the seventh Islamic class, as a model for the book, and we have selected verses for various purposes from the collections of poets of the class, and applied the criteria to them. The criticism identified by Ibn Salam, in addition to his rhetorical criticism, and then we balanced the poets’ verses that shared purpose and meaning
