Evaluation of of Islamic subject book for sixth-grade intermediate in Iraq from the perspective of teachers and school instructors
Abstract
The research aims to evaluate the textbook of Islamiceducation for sixth-grade preparatory schools in Iraq from thepoint of view of its teachers. To achieve this goal theresearcher examined as sample adult (26) school teachers ofIslamic Education and Madrsadtha in junior high school andhigh school to the Directorate of Education Rusafa second cityof Baghdad, and built a researcher questionnaire consisting of(48) items distributed on (6) areas and make sure of itssincerity and stability after its presentation to a number ofexperts.The researcher had treated its data statistically, and the resultsare:• Textbook quality standards are not available in the book ofIslamic education for sixth-grade preparatory schools in Iraq.• The area of the major weakness of the book is the content ofthe book.• The field which achieved positive high for the book is thearea of the activities.The researcher had recommended severalrecommendations, including:• The need to address and improve the Islamic Educationsixth-grade preparatory textbook by the relevant authorities,and to avoid the lack of conformity to standard good textbook.• The need to take the views of the teachers when writing thebook.The researcher suggested several proposals, including:• Work on the evaluating Islamic books for intermediate andsecondary according to standard good textbook.
