The phenomenon of interpretation and its relationship to the grammatical factor

Abstract

The aim of this research is to clarify the phenomenon of interpretation, which had an important role in expanding the circle of the grammar lesson in its various directions. In the study of Arabic, the grammarians used one theory, the factor theory, and one origin, which are listening and analogy. Therefore, the grammarians set principles and rules that govern the language of the Arabs, and control it logically, which they all follow in the light of these principles, so that nothing deviates from them. The research included the most important results that it reached, namely, that the idea of ​​the factor originated in simple Arabic grammar, and that it is as old as this method, and that the motivation for it seems to be the syntactic errors, and the evaluation of the meaning of speech. These things were observed and done in simplicity and spontaneity, because the Arabs in their language used to follow the course of character and etiquette, and grammarians came and tried to find reasons for the influx of different movements on the end of speech and changing it according to its different syntactic positions, so they called what causes change (factor), and what is affected by it (performed).
