Abstract

The research focused on the difference between death and suicide. Death is the end of every living being، a fixed truth that is undeniable: the lifespan of humans is determined by Allah، and every soul will taste death. It is a transitional phase between the earthly life and the hereafter، according to all Islamic religions. The Qur'an gives great attention to death، mentioning it in several verses، urging people to reflect on the demise of past nations and individuals، to frequently mention it، and to prepare for it، as it comes suddenly. Muslims are advised to heed this reminder.

On the other hand، suicide is one of the critical issues affecting human life that requires special attention worldwide، especially in the Islamic world. It is an alarming and dangerous matter that has infiltrated Muslim countries and is unacceptable both religiously and legally. It is considered one of the major sins، warned against in several verses of the Qur'an. Humans are creations of Allah، and He created them for a purpose: to populate and cultivate the earth. Therefore، I wanted to clarify the stance of Islamic law on suicide.
