Abstract

The current research addressed an important concept, which is self-efficacy among teachers of distinguished schools for the preparatory stage in Baghdad Governorate, where the first goal of the research was to measure self-efficacy among teachers of distinguished schools in the preparatory stage, and the second goal was to identify the significance of the differences in efficiency among teachers according to academic achievement, whether bachelor's, master's or doctorate. To achieve these goals, the researcher adopted the self-efficacy scale of researcher Hassan Mahmoud Hassan Awawdeh from the State of Palestine, where the researcher built it after reviewing the theoretical foundations of the efficiency variable, as the scale included (30) paragraphs and the alternatives were four, which are (always - often - rarely - never), where the correction keys for the positive paragraphs were (4, 3, 2, 1) and (1, 2, 3, 4) for the negative paragraphs, and then the scale was applied to the research sample consisting of (60) teachers from distinguished schools for the preparatory stage in the First Karkh Education Directorate in the capital, Baghdad, using the random stratified method, and after using statistical methods on the above data, the results showed that their average scores on the scale reached (97.12) degrees With a standard deviation of (9.83) degrees, and when balancing this average with the hypothetical average of the scale, which is (75) degrees, and using the t-test for one sample, it was found that the difference is statistically significant and in favor of the arithmetic average, as the calculated t-value was higher than the tabular t-value, which is (1.96) with a degree of freedom (59) and a significance level of (0.05), and this means that the teachers in the distinguished schools have a high level of self-efficacy. As for the variable of the educational certificate, there were no statistically significant differences, and this means that the variable of the educational certificate has no effect on increasing the self-efficacy of the teachers. The results were interpreted according to theories and studies. The research concluded with a set of recommendations, including paying attention to the segment of female students in distinguished schools, as they are at the forefront of the country's innovators. Providing guidance courses for female teachers to develop them in the psychological field in addition to the academic field. Paying attention to this group psychologically and preparing them to be pioneers of the renaissance in this country. Among the proposals is to conduct the same study, but for the middle school teachers in distinguished schools to conduct the same study on the teachers of distinguished schools (males).
