The poetic image is an essential artistic tool in poetic formation. Therefore, it received the attention of many researchers since ancient times, and this interest extended to the modern era, and the image became a field for studies and based on this importance we devoted our research to show the aesthetics of the poetic image and its types in Yahya Abdul-Azim's poetry.
Before that, it is necessary to define the concept of the poetic image idiomatically, and this is what we discussed in this research, followed by a statement of the sources of the poetic image (nature and imagination), then defining the types of poetic image (diagnostic, embodied, and symbolic) and their human dimensions in poetry.
